The 80s were undoubtedly the best time to grow up. Kids these days will never truly grasp it no matter how often they watch Back to the Future, how many secondhand windbreakers they buy, or how many 80s songs they know the lyrics to. They just can't un-know a childhood marked by technology usage. They can pull up any song that they want on their Spotify and make playlists with music from all around the world; they will never have to go through the time-consuming process of making a mixtape with a boombox and cassette deck. The kids of today can watch any movie that they want at the touch of a button; they don't know the disappointment of finding out that every copy of the movie you really wanted to see is already rented out at the local Blockbuster.
